I&#39;m crying openly now, because I know this gentleman&#39;s pain so well. You&#39;ve done a great job of conveying this loss. My husband, fighting the dementia that so often comes at the end of one&#39;s fight with a terminal illness, had a moment of clarity and said &quot;I love you,&quot; to me...these are words he didn&#39;t often say in life, so I kind of knew the end was near.
